A week in Taiwan

We doggedly continued to explore Taiwan in the aftermath of the food poisoning that continued to last well after our return to Guangzhou. After a week, our greatest impressions are of how warm and friendly the people are and how much natural beauty exists in Taiwan. We did manage to visit some tourist sights like the National Museum, the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial, the Taipei Zoo and Maokong Gondola but it was truly its natural scenic spots that were the highlights for our visit. See for yourself.

A MTR ride and a nice short walk gets you to the thermal valley

There were a lot of stairs. A challenge given our weak state.

  1. So sorry you had to battle food poisoning…. Glad I wasn’t there for that. Beautiful scenery but what stands out the most is the Nico is starting to look like a big boy. He’s getting tall and thin… No more little man chubbies.

  2. Great photos! Very sorry about the food poisoning. We’ve had three rounds of stomach flu (had to cancel our Thanksgiving vacation, but attempted to go anyway, resulting in a very bad night/ morning in a hotel in Vegas, and a long drive back the next day).

    Not fun at all.
