Tiger Leaping Gorge, China

From Lijiang, we travelled to Dali with a detour to Tiger Leaping Gorge. Tiger Leaping Gorge is one of the deepest river canyons in the world at a depth of 3790 metres. We were told it was the Yangtze that runs through it but it turns out it is the Jinsha River, a major tributary of the Yangtze. Tiger Leaping Gorge is part of the Three Parallel Rivers of Yunnan, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is simply spectacular to see in person. Take a look…
